Mariposa Dentist. World Class Smiles!
When you visit our office, your smile is our top priority. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, gentle care that you deserve.
Part of our commitment to serving our patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs. This website is a resource we hope you’ll find both useful and interesting.
Hello! We have noted that the WHO has made a recommendation for dentistry. The American Dental Association (ADA) response is as follows:
CDA and ADA strongly disagree with the World Health Organization’s Aug. 3 guidance advising that routine non-essential oral health care, including oral health check-ups, dental cleanings and preventive care, be delayed.
The WHO provides guidance worldwide, and its recent document “Considerations for the provision of essential oral health services in the context of COVID-19” is not specific to California. Guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California Department of Public Health and CDA Practice Support provide resources and tools to help dental teams practice safely during the pandemic.
The American Dental Association released the following statement regarding WHO’s recommendation to delay routine care:
The American Dental Association (ADA) respectfully yet strongly disagrees with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommendation to delay “routine” dental care in certain situations due to COVID-19.
“Oral health is integral to overall health. Dentistry is essential health care,” states ADA President Chad P. Gehani, D.D.S. “Dentistry is essential health care because of its role in evaluating, diagnosing, preventing or treating oral diseases, which can affect systemic health.”
CDA will inform members of the latest updates regarding WHO’s recommendation as they become available.
We wanted to make the community aware of what we are doing to ensure the safety of all who visit our office.
*VIRTUAL RECEPTION ROOM* In an effort to maintain social distancing, all of our guests have the option to remain in their car until the scheduled appointment time. If you choose to use this option, please call us at 209-966-3020 when you arrive. We will be happy to call you to notify you of the start of your appointment. You are also welcome to wait on the bench right outside our office. Because of the need to stagger appointments and the need for additional time between appointments to disinfect, sterilize and implement other infection control procedures, please note that your appointment may not begin exactly at it's scheduled time.
*SAFETY PROTOCOLS* As we have mentioned previously, there are new safety protocols in place at our office.
*ALL visitors to our office are asked to wear a face mask. If you are accompanying a patient, we ask that you wear a face mask for the duration of your stay in our office. We appreciate your cooperation.
*ALL Staff and patients will have their temperature taken with our non-contact thermometer upon entry to our building. Hand sanitizer is available and we strongly recommend using it when you enter our office and before you leave when your appointment is completed.
*When appointments are confirmed, all patients will be asked COVID-19 screening questions. These questions will be asked again upon your arrival.
*As much as possible, we ask that you arrive to your appointment unaccompanied. If a guardian or parent is needed, please limit to a single family member. Please note that your temperature will be taken and screening questions will be asked even if you are not the one with an appointment.
*All staff will be wearing enhanced Personal Protection Equipment throughout your visit. You will also notice our multiple HEPA air filters and our Dental HG FlexVac purifiers from IQ Air. These filters are used for capturing mercury vapor, drill aerosols, bacteria, and viruses in the operatory. A flexible suction duct is typically placed on patient's chest during the entire appointment. Please click on the link below for a video demonstration! *Our hygienists are now using an even more effective high speed suction system called ReLeaf. There is a link below with more information.
We are happy to serve our community for all of your dental health needs! Please don't hesitate to call with any questions or concerns.
We are open Monday-Thursday 8:30-5:00 for ALL DENTAL NEEDS. Our hygienists are ready to keep everyone on track with their dental cleanings. Call today to be sure you are on the schedule. We look forward to seeing you!
